Hey, I’m Jess! I’m a strategic marketing consultant and a business and careers coach, working with purpose driven organisations and female founders. I have over 12 years of experience across a variety of marketing and communication roles, working both agency and in house, including for some of the UK’s most well-known brands, like Betfred and Very. Throughout this time, I’ve also coached and mentored individuals who are in the early years of their careers, or who are looking to progress to their next move.
These days, my career is focused on the third sector, female and neurodivergent founders, helping them define who they are, communicate it effectively, and work towards achieve their intended purpose or goal - this covers everything from creative exploration workshops, strategy and marketing plans, practical support, and coaching sessions. I've worked across social media, SEO, CRM, E-commerce, trading, promotions, websites, copywriting etc...the list goes on...so i'm an excellent generalist, and perfect if you're looking for a bit of a one stop shop when it comes to marketing!
I accidently crafted my career from around the age of 11, first learning how to edit code so I could take the copyright label off my freeglitters.com font for my piczo site (I’d never do it now!) before moving into blogging, creating my first blog at 14, when my year 10 work experience was boring. This progressed, and aged 17 i got myself a column “This month with Jess Corcoran” in a local paper, alongside helping local community groups run their Facebook pages. After this, I began an apprenticeship in Marketing, and the rest they say, is history!
Outside of work my current chapter of life is very much focused very much on joy – I love simple things like walking my dog whilst listening to a podcast (Newscast/How to fail/Off menu are the ones often on rotation!) grabbing a coffee and a pastry with a pal, reading a new 99p kindle book, and just generally being creative! I also love learning, and my most recent educational journey is about to come to fruition, as I’m a few months off qualifying as a counsellor!
Why did you launch Jess Corcoran Consultancy?
After spending years in corporate environments, I took stock of what my working life had looked like. I had lots of skills and experience in both marketing, business and people, but I found that many of the environments I’d worked didn’t align to my core values, like empathy and integrity, so I started Jess Corcoran Consultancy so I can model the working world I want to be a part of, and show up as my bold, bright, colourful self while helping others.
Whether communications or coaching, ultimately my business is rooted in people. Those who are driven by passion or purpose but feel unsure of their next move - whether that changing their approach to marketing, growing their business, or changing roles or careers.

My branding reflects who I am – colourful and less corporate compared to typical person who works in this space. I never felt like I fitted in, so I decided to create a new space where I could be exactly myself. I’m also an empathetic human, who sees real value in so called “soft skills” and I pride myself on work driven by my values; integrity, inclusion, empathy, and passion.
